Now, this next beast is an exceptional step up from the 70 - 200 so be careful when you take it out for the first time because you are bound to be adored by others . I will never forget, when at a Game Reserve in South Africa, I whipped this out of my car to photograph a leopard in a tree. There was another guy taking photos and when he saw me with this lens he called to his wife " look at the size of that thing !" I burst out laughing and proceeded to show him the difference. He phoned me a few months later ( I own a photo shop ) and ordered the lens.

Admittedly this is a very specialised lens but well worth the spend. I must advise too, that a monopod would be a good investment with this as it can be a burden on the old arm.
